I have always been passionately curious about technology and have invested in early-stage companies (pre-seed to Series A) in the Pacific Northwest.
I stopped making new startup investments in 2023. While building my portfolio, I was sector agnostic but leaned toward software over hardware, IT over healthcare. Strong customer discovery and development over patents. Clear plans and milestones over lofty ambitions. Insights over moats. Complete teams over rock stars. Self-awareness over genius. Above all, for me, customer focus came before technology.
